Elastomeric Seals for Miter and Tainter Gates

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to supply a replacement miter gate seal for Lock & Dam 5A, and tainter gate seals for Lock & Dam 2, in addition to spare seals.

Other seals with matching dimensions shall be acceptable.

Seals shall be accepted in raw stock lengths, with simple traverse end cuts. Bolt holes will be drilled by Government personnel. Please see images and full specifications in SOW posted to SAM.gov. Seals shall be delivered to the USACE Fountain City, Wisconsin Service Base no later than June 1, 2024. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside solicitation.

The seals shall meet all SOW requirements, which include (but are not limited to): Seals shall be natural rubber/polyisoprene or neoprene. Seals shall be molded.

Quoin seals shall have ASTM A36 3/8” x 4” steel reinforcement plates molded into the legs of the seal running continuously along the length of the entire seal. All edges to have 1/8” radius on all edges. Seals shall not contain reclaimed polymers and shall include reinforcing carbon black, zinc oxide, accelerators, antioxidants, vulcanizing agents and plastizer.
