Notice of Intent to limit fair opportunity for purchase of Printers: The US Army Corps of Engineers, pursuant to FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B), intends to purchase brand name or proprietary components on a sole source basis. The Army has a need to procure four (4) HP OfficeJet 250 All-in-One Printers. The contract action will be a Firm-Fixed Price Delivery Order placed through the Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) system.
In accordance with Army Regulation 25-1 CHESS is the Army’s required source for purchases of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) IT hardware, software, desktops, and notebook computers, and all other IT purchases, regardless of dollar value, when available, or a statement of non-availability (SoNA) in accordance with paragraph 3–19d must be obtained when a contract vehicle is not available; and that CHESS procurement vehicles are the preferred source for acquisition of IT services.
This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may provide specific information to the Army regarding their product for consideration as to whether their product meets the Government’s needs.
Required Equipment:
HP Officejet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer Features: USACE equipment must comply with the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) and ACE-IT protocols. To ensure ACE-IT equipment meets these requirements, ACE-IT provides an Approved Product List (APL) to establish the management, operability, support and compatibility for use with CorpsNet.
This action requires purchase of the brand name HP Officejet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer equipment as this is the only product that meets the need of the customer’s requirement. Other information may be requested after initial response, either from individual respondents or all respondents. This notice is the only document that will be published notifying interested vendors of the Government’s intent.
Interested vendors are advised that information provided to the Government in regard to the product components proposed will be considered proprietary information (unless clearly marked as available to the general public) and will not be released to the public or other interested vendors. The Government may retain this information for its records indefinitely.
Any vendor wishing to propose an alternative source must provide a copy of all relevant data demonstrating the alternative source satisfies the above requirements to Adrian Stafford-Browne at: adrian.j.stafford-browne@usace.army.mil, and Matthew Lubiak at: matthew.e.lubiak@usace.army.mil. This is not a request to respond to a solicitation.
