The New York District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to solicit a contract for ship repair that includes sole source items.
These are the brand name items and services required of the P/B Hocking Maintenance Shipyard: a. Paint/Coating System: Sherwin-Williams Product Line ($46,000) Sherwin-Williams Duraplate 235 Sherwin-Williams Antifouling 121 Sherwin-Williams Armortile B67B-100 Sherwin-Williams Steel Master b. Integrated navigation software: Rose Point Electronic Charting Software ($2,600) c. Navigation system upgrades: Furuno SC-70 Satellite Compass/Antenna ($4,295), d. Furuno Antenna Cable (item 001-524-1000) ($225) e. PYI Shaft Seals (Serial # 02-212-400) This is not a formal solicitation or request for proposal.
This notice of intent is to give notice of the Government's intent to make a sole source award under the authority cited in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Any vendor wishing to propose an alternative source must provide a copy of all relevant data demonstrating the alternative source satisfies the above requirements, by the required due date and time, to Monica Coniglio at: Monica.N.Coniglio@usace.army.mil. This is not a request to respond to a solicitation.
