The 413th Contracting Support Brigade is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding their ability to provide transmission replacement services for a Caterpillar D7RII Dozer located on Oahu, HI, as outlined in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The government will furnish the replacement transmission and provide transportation to the work site. To ensure a comprehensive understanding of vendor capabilities, respondents are requested to submit the following information:
1. Company Experience: Please provide a detailed overview of your company’s experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, specifically highlighting experience with Caterpillar machinery. Include examples of similar projects successfully completed, particularly transmission replacements on D7RII or comparable models. Describe your company’s safety program and adherence to relevant industry standards.
2. Qualifications & Certifications: Detail the qualifications of your technicians relevant to Caterpillar equipment repair.
3. Narrative Work Plan: Provide a narrative plan outlining your proposed approach to completing the transmission replacement. This plan should include:
A phased approach, detailing each step of the process. Estimated timelines for each phase of the work.
4. Estimated Labor Costs: Provide a detailed breakdown of your estimated labor costs for this type of service. Include hourly rates for each technician level involved. Specify any additional labor-related costs (e.g., travel, per diem). This RFI is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a solicitation. Responses should be concise and focused on the requested information. *Note: The PWS is a work in progress.
