Baggage Scanner Preventive Maintenance

The Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATFS) is a federal organization charged with the identification of drug traffickers, illicit narcotics, and their means of transport and is also required to dispatch time sensitive information to other federal agencies that interdict narcotics into the United States. The sensitive nature of this effort requires robust and prudent Force Protection measures to ensure mission success and personnel safety.

JIATF-S employs two (2) Rapiscan Orion 920CI baggage scanners at entry access points to screen employees and visitors and one (1) Smiths Detection 130130T-2is within the warehouse of building 4180 to screen larger freight and incoming shipment items.

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform annual preventive maintenance on all x-ray scanners in use at JIATF-S as defined in this PWS except for those items specified as government furnished property (GFP) and government furnished services (GFS).

To provide annual manufacturer specified maintenance on one (1) ea Smiths Detection model HI-SCAN 130130T-2is (larger and designed to handle heavy freight and Euro pallets) and two (2) ea Rapiscan Orion, model - 920CI, (which provides the capability to scan personal bags and items).
