Software Integration Lab - Notice of Intent Brand Name Cummins Generators

In accordance with Section 888(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) (Public Law 114-328) as implemented by Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(c)(2), the justification and approval (J&A) addressed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.303 is required to use brand name or equal descriptions for Cummins Generators in the firm-fixed price construction contract for the Software Integration Lab at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

The base currently uses Cummins Generators to ensure all modernization, retrofit or new building projects have the same operating equipment for redundancy, maintenance, and the availability of on-hand replacement parts at Tinker Air Force Base. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 10:00AM Central Standard Time on 25 February 2025 to brian.j.welch@usace.army.mil.
