https://forms.osi.apps.mil/r/R1SwBzWHyW The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to acquire information on the number and capability of qualified Small Business and Large Business firms interested in a prospective procurement of construction services at Selma, AL. This is a Sources Sought Notice, NOT a solicitation announcement. Accordingly, no contract award will result from this Sources Sought Notice, as it does not constitute a commitment by the Government.

Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the government in making an acquisition decision. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is soliciting for new construction on behalf of the United States Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), Temporary Transportable Housing Unit (TTHU) Inspection Building (IB), in Selma, AL. The Scope of Work for this project shall include the construction of an IB (11,321 GSF) at the FEMA Site in Selma, AL.

The primary purpose of this project is to construct one new IB. The IB shall be designed to accommodate FEMA Team - inspections, pit, and common support spaces (utility space, etc.). The IB shall be a Pre-Engineered metal building with insulated metal wall and roof panels. The IB shall be designed and constructed with a motorized gantry (manlift) system to reduce inspection time and increase inspection efficiency.

The IB shall also include two bays with a 6-foot-deep full-length Inspection Pit in each bay, and four motorized Overhead Doors. Supporting facilities include site development, utilities and connections, lighting, parking, walks, storm drainage, information systems, landscaping, signage fire protection and alarm systems, Intrusion Detection System, and more. The IB is needed for increased inspection efforts by inspection team on one site for FEMA.

The estimated magnitude of the project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The construction duration is 540 days after Notice-to-Proceed is issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $45 million is assigned.
