Notice of Intent: Best Squad Competition - Specialized ground covering, trash and recycling bins, and tent with support services

Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Knox, on behalf of The United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), intends to award firm-fixed price contract to EIS Group INC 7150 Standard Drive Hanover, MD 21076-1779 SAM - Unique entity ID: V52VTJCJ3MD1, using FY25 OMA funds on a single source basis.

This requirement will provide specialized ground protection flooring, trash and recycling bins, and tent to include setup and removal that are needed to perform the HQDA Best Squad Competition- Community Event for 11-12 October 2024. Setup to occur 11 October 2024 and removal to occur 12 October 2024. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532284, Recreational Goods Rental, with a size standard in millions of dollars $9,000,000,000.

The Product Service Code (PSC) is W078, Lease or Rental of Equipment-Recreational and Athletic Equipment. A determination not to compete this proposed contract was made pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1) – “Soliciting from a single source.

(1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. (i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.” This notice is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotes. The United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) requires specialized ground protection flooring, trash and recycling bins, and tent to include setup and removal to support the HQDA Best Squad Competition-Community Event held 11-12 October 2024. This requirement will ensure the mission of the Recruiting office is not interrupted.

The contracting officer has determined this procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures; only one source is reasonably available. The Government intends to use FAR Part 13 to purchase the above listed item. The Contracting Officer (KO) determines that the anticipated price is fair and reasonable based on market research. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued.

Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.
