DoDEA AE- CPS Diamond ES Playground Addition

NOTICE OF INTENT THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, intends to issue a contract, on a sole source basis, to GWWO (the “Designer of Record”).

This sole source contract action is required for the completion of the following scope of work: Architect-Engineering Professional Services as required for planning and design support exclusively for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Diamond Elementary School Playground Addition project located at Fort Stewart, GA.

Work will consist of performing engineering services during the construction phase for the Diamond Elementary School Playground Addition project to include but not limited to cost estimating for Request for Information (RFIs), shop drawing review and submittals, site visits, and technical assistance efforts. In addition, support for current design to include development of commissioning plans.

In September 2023, the Norfolk District issued a task order to the Designer of Record to perform Architect-Engineering services for a full design for the construction of the new playground at Diamond Elementary School, Fort Stewart, GA. The playground shall be constructed in accordance with DoDEA Education Facilities specifications, Elementary School ver.

30 dated 4 June 2010. This project is required to support the educational needs of the growing population of Military and civilian dependents attached to Fort Stewart, GA. This contract is required to provide additional capacity for the Designer of Record to incorporate needed design changes and provide for Construction Phase Services. Continuity during the completion of the design and the required A-E services during construction is necessary. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS.

The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. This Notice of Intent is hereby published in accordance with FAR 5.201. All responses received within 15 days of the posting of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining to conduct a competitive procurement. The Norfolk District will consider any responses to this notice received within fifteen (15) calendar days of the posting of the notice.
