Notice of Intent to Sole Source Brand Name, Siemens

This Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Siemens for the purchase of Software Support Agreement for Software House Security System at United States Army Corps of Engineers located in Sault Ste Marie and will sole source to:

Siemens Industry Inc. 1000 E. Deerfield PKWY Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 As part of this procurement, the Detroit Distract intends to specify brand name products on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) to Siemens. Due to the highly specialized nature of this Software Support Agreement, Siemens is uniquely qualified since it allows the SPO maintain a 24/7 emergency contact to keep the CCure system fully functional. This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal.

This is not a solicitation and the information contained herein are subject to change or be eliminated from the requirement. Only Contractor’s capable of providing directly compatible equivalent products shall respond. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Interested parties who feel they have the capability may identify their interest and capabilities to provide directly compatible equivalent products, please provide the following:

Responses shall be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thins procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government to specify these brand names, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
