The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii, intends to make a sole source award to SDV Office Systems, LLC (dba SDV Medical) for the purchase of the following Intuitive’s Da Vinci Line of Disposable Products for use with Government-Owned Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System: Da Vinci 5 and Da Vinci X/Xi Arm Drape; Tip Cover Accessory for Monopolar Curved Scissors; Da Vinci XI 8mm Bladeless Optical Obturator (Standard); Universal Seal (5-12mm); Xi 8mm Suction Irrigator; Hot Shears (Monopolar Curved Scissors) – X/Xi; Fenestrated Bipolar Forceps – X/Xi; Mega SutureCut Needle Driver – X/Xi; Large Clip Applier – X/Xi; Large Needle Driver – X/Xi.
The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) which authorizes the government for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), to solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 339112. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.201 and 5.203.
This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
