Description

As published on SAM.gov.

The US Army C5ISR Center, Research and Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate is seeking information on navigation sensors that specifically can provide a velocity measurement output. These sensors should be technology readiness level (TRL) 6 or higher and be suitable for mounted vehicle applications. We are only interested in the velocity sensors themselves, which could serve as a component technology to a Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) technology demonstrator prototype.

C5ISR Center is currently developing this technology demonstrator to investigate multiple alternative/aiding sensors (i.e., inertial measurement unit (IMU), barometer, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), etc.) for navigation systems; the velocity sensor could be one of these alternative/aiding sensors. Under this RFI, we are not interested in other sensor technologies, nor are we interested in complete PNT systems or applications.

Requested Information: The C5ISR Center is interested in receiving information regarding navigation sensors that can provide velocity measurements and are suitable for mounted vehicle applications.
