Sources Sought for 10 Gauge Blank Shotshell Cartridges

Description: The Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ and the Army Contracting Command -Rock Island, IL (ACC-RI) are currently seeking sources for the manufacture and delivery of 10 Gauge Blank (A010) Cartridges (Sub Cal Salute). Department of Defense Identification Code or DODIC A010 is a 10 Gauge (Ga.) 2 7/8” cartridge used with a 10 Ga. adapter mounted in a 75MM WWII Cannon.

The packaging configuration of the 10 Ga. cartridge is 25 rounds in a fiberboard carton, and 20 fiberboard cartons packed per fiberboard box. This 10 Ga. blank cartridge is used during honor ceremonies such as military funerals, retirements, change of command or assumption of command. It is also used for raising the flag during reveille and lowering the flag during retreat. The A010 Blank is bought via MIL-PRF-32056.

Specifications: Specification MIL-PRF-32056 and Top Drawing Number 10524632 are provided for reference purposes and shall only be applicable to the subject request. Final versions of these documents will be provided should the Government proceed with a formal solicitation for this effort.

Planned Acquisition: Estimated quantities for this one time buy requirement are approximately 200,000 each of A010.

Submission Information: All responsible interested sources should submit their capabilities/qualification data and a unit price rough order of magnitude. The respondent's capabilities information must demonstrate the ability to produce approximately 200,000 rounds annually of A010 cartridges for the Government. Submittal of information is requested via electronic mail only, no later than 30 days from the date of this notice (February 6, 2024).
