Notice of Intent to Sole Source

This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures for Plas-Tech Coatings, Inc. service contract for Teflon coating of booster pins. at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. This vendor is the only source found during market research having the proven experience to perform Teflon coating as per detailed navsea specifications in drwg 84c-y-006 at the precise thickness, completeness of coverage and quality of preparation and application.

These superior quality requirements are paramount for these precision booster mold assemblies passing quality control inspection for this service. Any purchase order will be awarded under 'other than full and open competition' as authorized by far 6.302-1. This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
