Notice of Intent to Sole Source

This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures for urgent requirement for immediate preventive maintenance and Service for lnstron 5965 Low Force Universal Testing System in effort of preventing work stoppage due to red tagged equipment required for use on bomb lines, for use at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant.

Only one authorized supplier, Illinois Tool Works Inc original manufacturer, for preventive maintenance and calibration service to equipment for required verification and adjustments in which proprietary parts and software calibration is to be perform by their trained field staff. Any purchase order will be awarded under 'other than full and open competition' as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for offers.

A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements for this item.
