Product Director Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (PD TMDE) has a requirement for the High-Throughput BIO SENSOR CALIBRATOR. The High-Throughput Biosensor Calibrator is a calibration standard for fielded and future DoD biological warfare agent sensors that use laser induced fluorescence (LIF) technology.
This requirement is for the Contractor to research, design, develop, and enhance the Armys Biosensor Calibrator to include development of robust sensing chips, multiplexing sensing chips, and high throughput multiplexing Biosensing Calibrator functionality.
The Contractor will develop the High-Throughput biosensor calibration system in accordance with the SOW and deliver the final product to the U.S. Army TMDE Activity (USATA) Army Primary Standards Laboratory (APSL), Building 5435 Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898-5000, DoDAAC: W80RA6. PD TMDE intends to issue a sole source contract. The total estimated cost of the contract, including all options, is approximately $550,000, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) funds will be utilized.
The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334515. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 06:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time on 09/2/2025. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No telephone request will be honored, and no hard copies will be mailed out.
The information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the United States Government (USG) not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the USG. The approximate issue date for the Solicitation/Request for proposal (RFP) will be 26 Aug 2025. The award date is anticipated for 09/29/2025. Awards are not restricted to small businesses.
