Esprit Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Maintenance and Software Upgrades

The US Army Contracting Command – New Jersey (ACC-NJ), in support of US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armament Center (DEVCOM AC), Weapons and Software Engineering Center (WSEC) intends to solicit, negotiate and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), sole source, purchase order to Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Inc., 250 Circuit Drive, North Kingstown, Rhode Island 02852-7441, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), only authorized source who can meet the Government requirement.

The NAICS code for this effort is 513210 and the small business size standard is $47 million. The anticipated period of performance is 12 months from date of contract award for the required Esprit Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Maintenance and Software Upgrades.

This is a brand name requirement for software developed by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Inc. A sole source justification (redacted version is attached) approved on 26 April 2024 states that Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Inc. is the sole creator, developer and distributor of Esprit CAM software in New York. Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Inc. is a large business. All questions/responses must be received NO LATER than May 24, 2024 in writing.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and is meant to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201, which requires a notice of intent to be posted at the time a solicitation is issued.
