Synopsis of SBIR Phase III – Virtual Reality Medical Simulation System This is a NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. The United States Secret Service (USSS) intends to award on a NON-COMPETITIVE basis a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract IAW 15 U.S.C. §638 and the Small Business Administration SBIR/STTR Policy Directive. The proposed contract action under this Phase III effort directly derives, extends, and completes the work under the Phase II effort.

Award will be made to SimX, Inc. for Virtual Reality Medical Simulation Training System (“SimX VR”). This acquisition is in support of the USSS Special Operations Division, Canine Unit, to provide comprehensive and realistic training for handlers in emergency medical care for their canine partners.

The Government intends to make award by 02 August 2024. If a firm is interested and believes it is capable of meeting the Government’s requirement, it must identify its completed SBIR Phase II effort which meets the requirement and capability to the Contracting Officer, Jade Gaston, jade.gaston@usss.dhs.gov, and Contracting Specialist, Sabine McCorry, sabine.mccorry@usss.dhs.gov within ten (10) days of this publication.
