BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL TRAINING FOR PHYSICIANS

THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD CONTRACT TO DR. HAROLD J. WAIN FOR BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL TRAINING FOR PHYSICIANS The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a sole source contract under the statutory authority, FAR 6.302-1 –Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. DHA intends to issue a firm-fixed blanket purchase agreement to Dr. Harold J. Wain, 5410 Connecticut Ave NW, Suite 107, Washington, DC 20015, (Unique Entity ID:

LD9PNLY9NPM7, CAGE Code: 7X8N0).

The Government partnered with Dr. Harold J. Wain to support Walter Reid overall development, oversight, training, and execution of activities related to the Biopsychosocial Training for Physicians Program, including didactic presentations, weekly topics, group discussion, one on one support on learning the techniques, management of topics that concern each provider and is tailored to the needs of each individuals level of understanding and skills while focusing on patient care needs, consult and support and other webinars, overlook and contribute to the chronic abuse of opioids or medical interventions.

These objective within the scope will be met with combining patient interviewing strategies, presenting topics on pain the Biopsychosocial model, meeting and supervising all attendees on understand concepts and implementing them with patients. The anticipated period of performance will be for one 9-month Base and four 9-month option period.
