CHEMISTRY AND IMMUNOASSAY TESTING PROGRAM

THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD CONTRACT TO ROCHE DIAGNOSTICS CORPORATION FOR CHEMISTRY AND IMMUNOASSAY TESTING PROGRAM The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a sole source blanket purchase agreement under the statutory authority, FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. DHA intends to issue a firm-fixed blanket purchase agreement to Roche Diagnostics Corporation, 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN 46256-1025, (Unique Entity ID:

JDMDFEZBYH36, CAGE Code: 51169). The Government partnered with Roche Diagnostics Corporation to sustain the use three (3) Chemistry and Immunochemistry System under a Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR) agreement or Cost Per Reagent Pack that are not being offered by other publicly recognized service providers.

Roche Diagnostics Corporation will allow the Government to build upon its current infrastructure, security needs, and program success; as well as to maximize efficiency and economy and minimizes burden and administrative costs for both the Government and industry.

The blanket purchase agreement is necessary as Roche Diagnostics Corporation will sustain the use three (3) Chemistry and Immunochemistry System under a Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR) agreement or Cost Per Reagent Pack which includes equipment, reagents, tools, materials, training, and water purification system, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and services necessary to meet the Chemistry and Immunochemistry testing and analysis requirements for current its Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) laboratories.

The anticipated period of performance will be for five (5) years. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 – Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees. 6630 - Chemical Analysis Instruments. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations.
