NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD CONTRACT TO BUNSEN STUDIO, LLC FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY PUBLIC RELATIONS SUPPORT SERVICES

The United States Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD), on behalf of the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology (NSCEB) intends to perform a sole source award to Bunsen Studio, LLC., 4024 314 Lytton Ave, Palo Alto, California 94301-1430 for Biotechnology Public Relations Support Services.

NSCEB requires Biotechnology Public Relations Support Services to provide support and execute communicating the Commission’s work in biotechnology to the public and to obtain support for media research, analysis, and engagement through biotech & scientific-focused media. The estimated value of the contract will range from $750,000.00 to $850,000.00. The anticipated award will be made under the authority of 41 U.S.C.

1901 under the procedures FAR 13.5 “Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services.” Bunsen Studio, LLC is the only vendor to meet NSCEB’s requirement as they specialize in full-service creative and communications studio serving science and frontier technology companies, turning complex science and deep tech concepts into clear and connective narrative.

No other vendor can provide Biotechnology Public Relations Support Services at the level of expertise and experience required for NSCEB due to their prior involvement has built a strong foundation of knowledge and trust and deep understanding of the Commission’s mandate and work, which is essential for fulfilling the Commission's statutory requirements efficiently. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations.

Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
