SAKURA FINTEK MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Sakura Finetek USA, Inc. on a sole source basis. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement listed below. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the NIH intends to issue a purchase order to Sakura Finetek USA, Inc. for evaluation and preventive maintenance services.

The vendor has patent protection on its instruments and because of proprietary data, only the original manufacturer can provide the required maintenance and repairs. The full service contract includes unlimited emergency visits and one preventive maintenance visit per year.

Maintenance will be for the period of performance 08/01/24 through 07/31/25 and is for the following equipment: Tissue-Tek VIP@ 6 Al Vacuum Infiltration Processor, Demonstrator, 115 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 12 A, S/N 60400333 TISSUE-TEK GLAS g2, 115 VAC, 60 HZ, S/N 65000120 Histo-Tek SL Automated Stainer, Certified Pre-Owned, S/N 1419HTSL0172 This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.

However, any party that believes it can fulfill the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to satisfy the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

It is anticipated that an award will be issued within five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another company has the capability to satisfy this requirement.
