C-5 Engine Cowls

The Government intends to award a single definitive contract for the acquisition of the C-5 Engine Cowls. This sole source effort will be awarded IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, under which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Rohr Inc. (CAGE 51563). The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data for the manufacturing of this item. The particulars of this definitive contract are as follows:

Righthand Core Cowl Assembly, P/N 224-2302-547, NSN 1560-01-592-5910UC, QTY: 3 Lefthand Core Cowl Assembly, P/N 224-2301-523, NSN 1560-01-595-5844UC, QTY: 1 Inlet Cowl Assembly, P/N 255-2101-501, NSN 1560-01-600-9158UC, QTY: 1 Righthand Fan Cowl Assembly, P/N 255-2281-501, NSN 1560-01-596-6401UC, QTY: 1 Requested delivery will be 12 months ARO Written Notice of Award The Request for Quotation (RFQ) SPRWA1-26-Q-0005 is being posted with this synopsis for commercial items. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
