2. Preservation / packaging in accordance with mil-std-2073-1 & mil-std-1186.

LEVEL A packing shall be accomplished using wood-cleated panelboard shipping boxes, conforming to ASTM-D 6251, TYPE III, CLASS 2 or nailed wood boxes conforming to ASTM-D 6880, CLASS 2. 7. LEVEL B packing shall be accomplished using either fiberboard boxes, weather-resistant class, conforming to ASTM D5118 OR TRIPLEWALL, corrugated fiberboard boxes, CLASS CGWR, conforming to ASTM D5168 or pallet base containers, TYPE III, conforming to MIL-B- 43666. Closure, sealing, and reinforcement shall be in accordance with specific, applicable methods of ASTM D1974, or as referenced in the container specification.

8. When the total quantity to be shipped to the same destination exceeds 125 pounds, 9. Exterior packs without skids shall be palletized in accordance with MIL-STD-147. The process should take no more than one week for you to be certified or denied for approval under the JCP.

REVERSE AUCTION (NOT REQUIRED) The solicitation contains provision 52.215-9023, Reverse Auction, which allows for the use of a reverse auction as a pricing technique. After the solicitation closes, the contracting officer will determine if a reverse auction will be held. If a reverse auction is held, contractors must be registered in the reverse auction system in order to participate in the auction.

Additionally, the contractor representative participating in the auction must have taken the on-line reverse auction training prior to the auction. Registration, on-line training, and other information regarding the reverse auction can be found at https://dla.procurexinc.com.
