This notice is being issued to announce solicitation #SPE8EG-24-R-0005 has been issued to the DLA Bid Board System (DIBBS) website. Copies of the redacted Justification and Approval (J&A) have been issued as attachments to the solicitation and are available at the DIBBS website. Vendors must submit quotes in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the solicitation no later than Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 3:00PM EDT.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support, Philadelphia intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Drum Entrance Unit on an Unrestricted Basis. This acquisition comprises one (1) Part-Numbered, National Stock Number (NSN):

1730-01-412-5655 (Part Number: 223F336). The required item is considered sole source to General Dynamics, Ordnance and Tactical Systems, Inc. (GS-OTS).

(CAGE: 05606). The proposed acquisition is for a Firm-Fixed Priced, Definite Quantity Contract and will include a Quantity Option which will allow for a 50% quantity increase or a 100% quantity increase. The solicitation number is SPE8EG-24-R-0005. The procedures at FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation will be utilized.

The acquisition will be accomplished using Other than Full and Open Competition Procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation will provide for one (1) contract. Price Only source selection procedures will be utilized. Any resultant contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror, offering the lowest price, whose offer conforms to all the terms and conditions set forth in the solicitation.

The Contract Maximum will be $1,570,000.00. Delivery terms will be FOB Origin with Inspection/Acceptance at Destination. The Buy American Act requirements/clauses apply. This synopses should NOT be considered a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The Government is in no way obligated to purchase any material as a result of this notice. The estimated release date of this solicitation is June 25, 2024. This date is subject to change.
