Notice of Intent to Sole Source Refurbishment, Recertification, and Repair Tube-Bank Trailers

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is The NAICS code is 811310 - Custom Computer Programming Services. DLA Energy Aerospace intends to award this requirement as a sole source to WELDSHIP CORPORATION, 225 W 2nd St Unit 2, Bethlehem, PA 18015. for the refurbishment, recertification and maintenance and repair of two DLA Energy owned specialized compressed gas Tube-Bank helium trailers and the conversion of one Tube-Bank helium trailer to a Tube-Bank hydrogen trailer.

DLA Energy Aerospace competitively solicited SPE60-22-R-0307 and Weldship Corporation was awarded the refurbishment, recertification, and repair of five Tube-Bank Helium trailers under contract SPE601-22-D-1504 based on lowest price technically acceptable evaluation.

Due to the specialized nature of these Tube-Bank trailers, it is in the Government’s best interest to have the refurbishment, recertification and maintenance of the Tube-Bank trailers services completed by the same vendor for specification, certification and warranty standards. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities.

The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
