Data Supply & Market Intelligence (Food Industry)

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Philadelphia Subsistence Strategic Material Sourcing Group (SMSG) Office is issuing this Sources Sought Announcement for planning purposes in deciding a considered Acquisition. The purpose of this Market Survey is to decide if there are commercial sources capable of providing actionable Market Intelligence (MI) to DLA Stakeholders regarding the poultry, egg, meat, seafood, and plant protein, within the related segments of the food industry.

DLA Troop Support Philadelphia continually evaluates the current data supply within the food industry. Of particular interest is the ability to provide market intelligence, commentary, industry trends/forecasting, mergers and acquisitions, and market news/market rates on any given commodity sources of information using USDA Market News, USDC, PPI and CPI indexes and any other legitimate sources, including offers own subscriber daily sales data providing comparative analysis.

Ideally, this would include a compilation of a final daily product in a publication form via web-based method for 6-10 individuals (users) based in DLA Troop Support Philadelphia. This is not a solicitation for proposals, there is no solicitation available currently. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this notification, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government.

This notification is not commitment from the Government, and any information provided in response to this notification is for informational purposes only. Any proprietary information supplied is protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise for future business with the Government. The sole purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to decide if there are commercial sources to meet the requirement, decide acquisition strategies, and find commercial practices.
