Notice of Intent - AutoClear, LLC

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source, fixed price contract with a base and two option years to AutoClear, LLC, Address: 10A Bloomfield Avenue, Pine Brook, NJ 07058 for the purpose of obtaining a three-year preventative maintenance plan. The FBI’s Security Division (SecD) has a requirement for corrective preventative maintenance of AutoClear X-ray Machines.

This service includes prompt onsite coverage, 24/7 help desk support, annual preventative maintenance, calibration of all X-ray machines, factory recommended parts, AutoClear proprietary software updates, and proprietary factory recommended upgrades and services. Based on market research, it has been determined that AutoClear is the sole manufacturer and supplier of AutoClear X-ray equipment, its replacement and new parts used in maintaining and servicing the X-rays.

If maintenance is performed or replacement parts are installed by a third party, any existing warranty will be voided and could compromise the total performance of the system. This notice will be distributed solely through the Official U.S. Government System for Contract Opportunities (used to be FBO), website (www.sam.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.

The North American Classification System Code is 561621, Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths). The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, per FAR 5.207 (16)(ii) all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government. Vendors must be registered in SAM, effective July 29, 2012 to receive government contracts.

The FBI uses a financial system that has a direct interface with SAM. Please ensure that your company’s SAM information is updated and accurate. This includes TIN, EFT, DUNS, addresses and contact information. The EFT banking information on file in SAM will be what the FBI uses to process payment to your organization.
