The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Institution McDowell located at 101 Federal Drive in Welch, WV Intends to award a single contract to a qualified entity for the purchase of four (4) 750 KBTU- 800 KBTU potable water heaters for housing unit A, unit B, and two (2) 285 KBTU potable water heaters for the camp housing unit. The existing water heaters FCI McDowell proposes to replace are:

four (4) PVI 75L 125A MXIF and two (2) 40L 125 AMXS. FCI McDowell is a medium security facility, which houses approximately 1,461 inmates and a minimum-security satellite prison camp that currently houses approximately forty inmates. The prison was constructed in 2010 and began receiving inmates in November 2010. The institution is currently seeking to replace failing water heaters servicing housing unit A, housing unit B and two (2) at camp housing.

FCI McDowell intends to purchase and install six (6) new housing unit potable hot water boilers. A. Four (4) water heaters need to be capable of producing 750 KBTU - 800 KBTU Input Btu/HR. B. Two (2) water heaters need to be capable of producing 285 KBTU Input Btu/HR. C. Have an efficiency rating of 95% or greater. D. Designed specifically for potable hot water. E. 1" gas connection. F. 2" water connections. G. Natural gas fired. H. Ability to cascade to other water heaters.

I. Footprint dimensions not to exceed a width of 48" and Depth of 48" to fit the existing concrete equipment pad. J. The units weight limit must not exceed 550 lbs. due to freight elevator restrictions. K.
