Instrument to measure Oxidation Stability of lubricants and greases

Oxidation stability is an important characteristic required in lubricants and greases. Without this, we won’t be able to analyze the lubricants and grease formulations for in-service oxidation tests, like Rotating Pressure Vessel Oxidation Test -ASTM D2272, D2112, IP229, Thin Film Oxygen Uptake Test -ASTM D4742, D7098, and Grease Oxidation Stability Test ASTM D942. This will delay development of new products from agricultural oils, negatively impacting producers.

This research is authorized by 7 CFR 2.65 Subsection 8 (conducting research into… utilization of plant and animal commodities…development of markets for agricultural commodities and 7 CFR 2.65 subsection 14 (conduct research at such laboratories [7 U.S.C. 1292]to develop new scientific, chemical, and technical uses and new and extended markets and outlets for farm commodities and products and the by-products thereof).
