THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS SEEKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR AVAILABLE COMMERCIAL OFFICE SPACE FOR SALE IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.

The Government is conducting market research to determine interest and capability for available commercial business properties for sale to support office and related space. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous.

In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.

This Request for Information (RFI) is being issued to obtain responses from members of the real estate and development community, local and state jurisdictions, academia, other Federal agencies, commercial aerospace partners, and other parties, that are interested in submitting information pertaining to purchase options the Government might consider for a headquarters facility within the District of Columbia.

This RFI is being released to inform the Government’s options for headquarters housing, which could include a new lease procurement or a building purchase or federal collocation or a lease with a potential purchase option. Responses due by 1/15/2025. UPDATED ON DECEMBER 26, 2024 TO ADD RESPONSES IN MARYLAND AND VIRGINIA WITHIN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION WILL BE ACCEPTED. UPDATED ON JANUARY 6, 2025 TO CHANGE THE RESPONSE DATE TO 2/15/2025. REPONSES WILL BE REVIEWED STARTING ON 1/15/2025 BUT RESPONES WILL BE ACCEPTED UP TO 2/15/2025.
