The contractor shall be a registered sludge transporter in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. This includes being registered with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to pump and remove sludge waste and oil/water separated waste. State registration must include the ability to pump, remove, or haul more than one type of waste. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all approvals for the mixture of the wastes to ensure proper disposal.
The contractor is responsible for all waste spills during the performance of this contract. The waste must be disposed of at an authorized site that accepts these two types of waste. Lab tests may be required by the landfill. The cost for all lab tests shall be included in the contract price schedule. Rio Grande Station site would require vacuuming the lines of any mud or debris from the mud/pit to the water/separator tank.
