CATIA

THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS. ACC-RSA has a sole source requirement for CATIA. This is a Sole Source with CATIA software IAW FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). IAW FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) CATIA, is the only source capable of fulfilling the Government's requirement for CATIA Software Maintenance. CATIA is a very high-end engineering design/simulation software program.

With the recent shift toward three[1]dimensional aircraft and component design submission, CATIA software and its accompanying maintenance support are required to extract necessary data from many of these and accurately assess information therein without the loss of fidelity that can occur with file translations between other systems.

Subject matter experts will use this particular CATIA software package to interrogate and evaluate structural, propulsion, aeromechanical, and electrical designs and make airworthiness decisions that enable the U.S. Army to perform its aviation mission successfully.
