Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Installation "Only" of a new 20-ton DS Vertiv Liebert Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) Data Center Cooling System unit and one Liebert MC Air-Cooled Microchannel Condenser

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) intends to issue a firm-fixed award to a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, Cooks Mechanical Services (CMS.)

This requirement is for the installation of a new 20-ton DS (Downflow standard) Vertiv Liebert Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) Data Center Cooling System (Model DS070ADA1EI6LS0) unit and one Liebert MC Air-Cooled Microchannel Condenser (Model MCM080E8AD0WK9) in the Data Center located at the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) facility. The contract is for installation only. The CRAC and condenser will be provided by OSTI.

All equipment is genuine Liebert HVAC equipment. CMS installed previous units and has knowledge of the electrical requirements needed for these installations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a small business size standard of $19M.

Any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which will be considered only if received by July 16, 2024, by 5:00 p.m. EST. Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to paynet@osti.gov by 5:00 p.m. local time. A determination not to compete the proposed order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Please note that any prospective offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov prior to award in accordance with FAR part 4.11.
