THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS This notice is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order under the authority of 41 U.S.C.
1901(e), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and 13.501(a)- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements and is not a request for competitive proposals. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Government Scientific Source, Inc., 12355 Sunrise Valley Dr. Suite 400, Reston, Virginia 20191, UEI: J49CN39QTNW3.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Research Technologies Branch (RTB), Flow Cytometry section, is seeking to acquire one (1) Cytek Aurora with a 5-laser system for its facility at the Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) located in Hamilton, Montana. This system is essential for maintaining continuity in scientific research, ensuring data integrity, and upholding experimental compatibility with existing equipment and critical protocols.
The Cytek Aurora will enhance the capabilities of its BSL-3 lab within its bio-safety cabinet, supporting the integral research performed at the RTB. This acquisition is crucial to prevent variability in data, which is vital for ongoing research efforts. A key factor in selecting the Cytek Aurora is its role in facilitating human and primate studies across multiple locations. The Cytek Aurora is already in use at NIH Bethesda and a lab in Africa.
Acquiring an identical instrument at RML is essential to ensure continuity in data collection and analysis across these sites. The Cytek Aurora's proven ability to optimize performance at different locations guarantees consistent and reliable data, which is critical for the integrity of the research conducted across geographically dispersed sites. This acquisition will support the RTB's mission to advance scientific knowledge and improve public health through cutting-edge research.
Only bona fide Cytek Aurora brand name OEM products/services are acceptable. Documentation showing active authorized reseller status is requested with the quote. All items must be covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty.
