Contract opportunity N6945025Q1003 involves two forestry services that are essential to a re-forestation initiative. The contractor must provide silvicultural practices to the Government for 116-acre tract located at Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi (NASMER) and 108-acre tract located at NASMER Outlying Field Joe Williams located in DeKalb, Mississippi (OLF-JW).
The silvicultural practices sought by the Government include aerial application of herbicide in the later summer/early fall to prepare each tract for tree planting, followed by hand planting containerized loblolly and longleaf pine seedlings that must occur in the late winter to early spring. The contractors’ proposed price must include all applicable direct and indirect costs (i.e. project oversight, permitting fees, licensing, disposal costs, profit, daily labor, transportation, major and minor materials, etc.).
In exchange for the contractor providing silvicultural services the Government will compensate the contractor at the price proposed by the winning lowest priced technically acceptable offer.
