Notice of Intent to Sole Source Met One Air Particle Counter calibration

The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) hereby gives notice of their intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Beckman Coulter, Inc., Brea, CA on a sole source basis. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6(a) (C), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Met One 3415 Particle Counters COMFRC requires annual maintenance service agreement on twenty-one (21) air particle counters, Model number 3415, to include calibration services and repairs to bring the equipment to fully operational condition. Beckman Coulter is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Air Particle Counters, and retains all the proprietary /technical data rights required in order to provide the necessary calibration and repair services.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement without impacting the requirement.
