Preventative Maintenance and Calibration of Leica Laser Trackers and T-Probe

The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) hereby gives notice of their intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Inc., North Kingstown, RI on a sole source basis. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6(a) (C), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Preventative Maintenance and Calibration Services for the Leica Absolute Laser Tracker and T-Probe. COMFRC requires annual preventative maintenance and calibration service agreement on two (2) Leica Absolute Laser Trackers (EIN 65888054931, 65888054933) and one (1) T-Probe (EIN 65888041669), to include calibration services and repairs to bring the equipment to fully operational condition.

Hexagon is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Absolute Laser Tracker and T-Probe, and retains all the proprietary /technical data rights required in order to provide the necessary calibration and repair services. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement without impacting the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
