Notice of Intent to Sole Source Lynx OS 7.0 and SpyKer 5.1.0 Software Support

The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) hereby gives notice of their intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Lynx Software Technologies, Inc., 855 Embedded Way, San Jose, CA on a sole source basis. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6(a) (C), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

COMFRC HQ/Mission Software Fleet Support Team, LynxOS 7 and SpyKer 5.1.0 software support COMFRC requires software license renewal, maintenance, and security patch support for LynxOS 7 Real-Time Operating System. Software patches as they become available. Additionally, telephone and e-mail support is required for the period of performance. This requirement is a follow-on to previously procured Software Maintenance Subscription.

Lynx Software Technologies, Inc. is the designer, developer and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the LynxOS 7 and SpyKer 5.1.0 software, and retains all the proprietary /technical data rights required in order to perform approved and necessary updates. Included in the purchase: - Software License renewal P/N SPMLOSZZZ-PPC700 - Annual Maintenance Subscription THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement without impacting the requirement.
