GE Laser AM Service Agreement

The Naval Air Warfare Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a fixed price contract , on a sole source basis, to the General Electric company, for a General Electric Additive 12 month service agreement at NAVAIR Lakehurst for a GE Concept Laser M2 S5 Additive Manufacturing System. This item is required to support the Advance Manufacturing/Prototype Engineering NAWCAD Lakehurst.

The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of title 10, U.S.C Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 1 (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Government does not own the data rights and competitive drawing package for this effort is not available. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals.

However, all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received a s a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
