Vaisala Units Calibration

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a fixed price purchase order, on a sole-source basis to Vaisala Inc. (CAGE: 8ANW4 (USA) for the Calibration of 7 units consisting of the following items:

Unit 1:

HMT337, S/N R1820929, Unit 2:

HMT337, S/N R3820198, Unit 3:

HMT337, S/N R3820199, Unit 4:

PTU307, S/N R3720679, Unit 5:

PTU307, S/N U0760294, Unit 6:

TMP1, S/N U2870153, Unit 7: HMP7, S/N U2841363. The items above need to be calibrated to run proprietary software that require OEM calibration for proper operation. Only Vaisala Inc. can calibrate their own equipment. Because the software is proprietary, the Government doesn't have the rights to be able to solicit more than one source. Vaisala Inc. is able to fully meet the requirements. Market research will be conducted for any future requirements to see if any other vendors can meet the Navy's need.

NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
