Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source to Compass Instruments Inc.

The Department of the Navy, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) FLC Rota, Spain; hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Commercial, Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Compass Instruments Inc., from Illinois, United States, and CAGE code 43AS7.

The requirement is for calibration and maintenance on the following fuel thermal oxidation testers: QTY (1) FALEX 400 QTY (2) FALEX 430 Compass Instruments Inc., is the only vendor authorized by the OEM in Spain to perform such services. A determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. However, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.

The applicable NAICS Code is 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the business size standard is $34M.
