Notice of Intent to Sole Source to General Electric Company

The Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a commercial, Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to General Electric (GE) Aerospace (CAGE Code 28339) located at 1 Research Circle, Niskayuna, NY 12309-1027. The requirement is for the purchase of the following:

LINE ITEM 0001 DESCRIPTION: Fabrication of silicon wafers tailored to fit GE Aerospace's Polaris process for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) inertial sensors QTY. 10 The Government intends to negotiate solely with General Electric Company under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), only one source capable of meeting the Government's requirement. The applicable NAICS code is 334413, Semiconductor and Related Device Manufacturing and the business size standard is 1,250 employees.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this notice, and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising quality, accuracy, and reliability. Capability statements, comments, questions, or concerns regarding this notice shall be submitted via e-mail.

A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responding vendors must be registered to the System for Award Management (SAM). Information can be found at https://www.sam.gov. Complete SAM registration means a registered UEI and CAGE Code. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor https://sam.gov for any amendments, which may be issued to this announcement.
