Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source to GDCA Inc

The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Commercial, Firm-Fixed- Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with GDCA Inc, (CAGE code: 0HAF6) of Livermore, CA. This purpose of this procurement is to re-open the manufacturing line for the Motorola MVME-2603-4121 CCA and build two First Article boards for Test and Acceptance in the MMP-VT system.

The MVME-2603-4121 CCA is a single board computer (SBC) designed for the Versa Module Eurocard (VME) form factor. The OEM for this board is Motorola but they no longer produce it. However, Motorola licenses out their technical data to GDCA Inc. for manufacturing legacy Motorola boards. The requirement is for the purchase of the following:

1 ITEM 0002: MVME2603-4121 Circuit Card Assembly Part #2603-FAU QTY: 1 Based on the approved Justification and Approval (J&A), the agency has identified only one responsible source and no other supplier will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this notice, and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising quality, accuracy and reliability. Capability statements, comments, questions, or concerns regarding this notice shall be submitted via email.

The applicable NAICS code is 334111, Electronic Computer Manufacturing and the Small Business Administration size standard is 1,250 employees.
