DRS Antenna Repair

Notice of Intent: Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic intends to award a sole-source contract to DRS Advanced ISR, LLC, 2601 Mission Point BLVD, STE 100, Beavercreek, Ohio 45431-6600, United States to repair 10 antennas. DRS is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the antenna, part number 131106-3100-1. The internal drawings and repair manuals are proprietary to the OEM and DRS is the only vendor who can perform the repairs.

The authority for soliciting from a single source is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The Government anticipates the award of a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies and incidental services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under authority of FAR 13.106-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
