Notice to Sole Source

This is a Notice of Intent to issue a GSA task order to Bam Technologies, 2001 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Suite 610, Arlington, VA 22202, on a sole source basis. The sole source is based on the requirement that the contractor must have and maintain access to the Air Force Academic Institutions Portal. Access to the portal is required in order to make changes to the database, electronic freedom of information act production environment, and configuration management. MyCAA portal is hosted in the Air Force AWS Cloud.

The contractor shall have approved access by the Air Force for the portal and shall provide proof of the access by submitting a letter from the Air Force indicating as such. The portal is hosted in the Military One Source AWS cloud and the Academic Institution (AI) Portal. BAM Tech currently is contracted to maintain the database. Due to security concerns and to hold one contractor responsible, BAM Tech is only contractor allowed access to make changes to the database and configuration management.

If a contractor other than BAM Tech is selected they will have to enter into a contract with BAM Tech to make changes to the database. Changes to the database can occur frequently and therefore drive up the cost of the contract. Also, selecting an new contractor could adversely effect operations. BAM Tech currently maintains the portal contract for the sole source to be valid.
