FAN MOTOR REWIND

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) Contracting Office (Code 400), hereby provides notice for a request for quote for N4523A24Q1320. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 15.101-2 lowest price technically acceptable source selection process. The NAICS code has been determined to be 811310 – Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance.

This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in the repair and maintenance of commercial and industrial machinery and equipment.

Establishments in this industry either sharpen/install commercial and industrial machinery blades and saws or provide welding (e.g., automotive, general) repair services; or repair agricultural and other heavy and industrial machinery and equipment (e.g., forklifts and other material handling equipment, machine tools, commercial refrigeration equipment, construction equipment, and mining machinery). With a size standard of $12.5 Million the US Small Business Admin Table of size standards.

It was also determined that that appropriate PSC Code for this requirement would be J049: Maintenance/repair/rebuild Of Equipment- Maintenance and Repair Shop Equipment. Puget Sound Naval Shipyard requires four (4 ea.) vent fan motor rewinds to include inspection, testing, report/ data, material and shipping in order to successfully deliver four rewound, [type a]; 1155ab;(s4), vent-fan motors. ‘’Navsea standard-item # (009-33).

PSNS and IMF Contracting Office (Code 400) will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for quote. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award.

Vendor shall complete the pricing structure, section of the request for quote in its entirety and return with any other documentation, attachments or data as required by this solicitation. Review and fill out all attachments as required. All documents submitted will not be returned.

The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
