INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - INTEGRATED SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES, INC . THE NOTICE IS PUBLISHED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers.

The Service Contract Division, C412, Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), Portsmouth, VA, 23709-5000 intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisitions for the installation of a mustering solution for two (2) Dry Dock areas and two (2) Pier locations at NNSY. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C.

Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information that is received. No other bids will be accepted.

This requirement is being synopsized under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 561621, and PSC Code N063. Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA announces its intention to procure, on a Sole Source (SS) basis, to INTEGRATED SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES, INC, 520 Herndon Parkway, Suite C, Herndon, VA 20170. INTEGRATED SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES, INC (IST) has the unique knowledge of the existing systems/infrastructure and security posture maintained via this system.

As the original installer and dealer of record assigned by the manufacturer (TYCO SoftwareHouse), IST has proprietary rights to technical data IRT the installation protocols of the Software House Cure 9000 Automated Access Control System (AACS) located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY). IST is currently providing warranty services on the existing AACS CAC badge readers. Additional installations by IST will be warrantied and maintained under the existing IST AACS maintenance contract in place at NNSY. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers.
