The existing Mechanical Room at Building 6 contains multiple piping, ductwork, electrical conduits, cable trays and major HVAC equipment. The existing chillers are located at the back of the Mechanical Room. The rollup door shall remain in place and existing opening to remain as is.

The new chillers has to fit thru the existing roll up door opening and will require major rigging for the new chillers to fir thru various existing equipment within the Mechanical Room in order for it to be installed to its previous locations. The new chillers is a direct fit which matches the existing foot print and nozzle locations with the existing chillers. The new chiller will not require major removal and replacements of the existing piping and valve systems.

Due to its matching foot print, the new chillers can utilize the existing concrete pads. This will eliminate the need to jack hammer the existing concrete, removal of existing re-bars in order to provide the new equipment pads. Jack hammering will also create additional unwanted noise which will disturb administrative offices and cubicles located beside the Mechanical Room.
