In accordance with the attached solicitation and Statement of Work, The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard requires the labor necessary for the repair and maintenance of the #1 and #2 Ships Service Turbine Generator (SSTGs) onboard a Virginia Class submarine. Specifically, labor is required for the replacement of the inboard and outboard thrust bearing stators. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and in accordance with the attached J&A, only on responsible source is capable of fulfilling this requirement.

Northrop Grumman Marine Systems (Cage:90099) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and thus owns the proprietary data- inlcuding drawings, equipment, and approved processes- required to perform this work.
